Will my OHIP still be covered when I go home to Ontario?

I have just recently completed a 2 year degree in the US. I went to the ministry and filled out some forms before my departure that extended my OHIP coverage for the duration of my studies. I graduated at the end of may, but my student visa doesn't expire until mid July. I am planning to come back home the first week of July, but am now worried that I may have waited too long and will lose my OHIP coverage. Will I be able to get coverage when I get back home, and if not, where do I find private insurance that will cover me for the initial 3 months before I can get my OHIP back?
