Your brain releases tons of it when you are on ecstasy but then when the drug wears off your brain will be depleted of seratonin for potentially up to 2 weeks after just a one-time use. that is why people have a huge crash and get very depressed after using ecstasy. their brain is flooded with pleasure from both seratonin and dopamine, but then it lacks the seratonin and takes weeks to replenish.
